Do you know what these people are saying?
Bill Oreilly equates the protesting of this war by the mother
of a fallen soldier with treason, and tells his audience that millions feel the same way. Rush Limbaugh brushed
off her loss by saying "We all lose things". Jerry Falwell blamed the terrorist attacks of 9/11 on homosexuals
(to which Pat Robertson agreed). Ann Coulter said (among other crazy things) that "We Should invade their countries,
Kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity". Sean Hannity puts people on his show that try to refute what the best
modern medical science (as well as dozens of court verdicts) has to say about a woman who is brain-dead.
Does it bother me that they say outlandish things; Not just absurd,
but truly demonstrable things? No, Not at all.
What really bothers me is that people take what they have to say at
face value. People i Know, People i care about.
